Rachel Bothwell

Rachel Bothwell is the founder and director of GP Practice Ally. Her background is in business, marketing and retail buying, before she stepped in to manage her family’s GP practice in 2018 when her father became ill. 

That experience gave Rachel first-hand insight into the pressures and complexity of leading a GP practice and led her to found GPPA in 2021. Her work now focuses on helping practices build strong systems, financial clarity and confident teams. 

Rachel was named Irish Early Career Entrepreneur of the Year in 2024 and PMI Ireland Under 35 Changemaker in 2025. GPPA was also named an SFA Outstanding Small Business in 2025.
