Prior to the 2023 Agreement, under GMS and DVC Contract Terms the HSE had the ability to assign patients to a GP Practice. The previous level of assignments was circa 7,500 per annum. The table below sets out the maximum patient assignments that apply to those GPs that signed up to the new agreement. It is advisable to contact the IMO for support if additional patients are assigned to your panel.

Max panel size remains at 2,200 patients. In exceptional circumstances where the additional patients under this Agreement brings the GPs list over 2,200 this will be considered on a GP by GP basis.
